Pretty Brutal is an ongoing personal portrait and documentary series exploring the character, history and human presence of brutalist architecture. Through a combination of environmental portraits and observational imagery, the project examines how these bold concrete structures shape identity, memory and everyday life. Moving beyond stereotypes of Brutalism as cold or imposing, the series reveals the people, stories and communities that exist within and around these iconic buildings.
